Judicial Reviews
During Phase I clients appear before the judge every other week for case reviews. The probation officer and treatment provider will also report to the judge at that time. Phase II participants appear before the judge once per month and Phase III and IV every six weeks.
Judicial reviews are the cornerstone of the drug court program. Participants are expected to prepare themselves for each reviews and actively participate in an open and honest manner. It is important to remember that reviews are opportunities for participants to demonstrate and communicate their understanding of the skills and concepts taught in the program to the judge.
Treatment
All clients of the Ray Combest Drug Court participate in the Strategies for Self Improvement and Change (SSC) program. Additionally, each participant will design an individual case plan with the probation officer and treatment provider that will address their unique needs. This treatment plan could include any of the following:
individual counseling
parent education
mental health treatment
medical care
dental care
financial counseling
vocational/career training
Probation Supervision

Drug Testing
Random drug testing is a core component of the Ray Combest Drug Court and is considered a part of the overall treatment program. Drug testing not only documents the progress a clients is making in the program, but can act as a motivational tool for clients struggling with sobriety.
Participants are assigned a color during their intake appointment with the probation department and are required to report to the provider that same day.
